Having been unfortunate enough to fall into on of the cursed springs in China's Jusenkyo (Cursed Springs Village), Ranma Saotome must now live with the misfortune of turning into a girl whenever he is splashed with cold water.
Fortunately for him, hot water is all that's required to solve the problem (at least temporarily).However, because of his condition, he ends up having not only an abundance of embarrassing situations, but a host of crazed would-be fiancés... of both genders.
Speaking of fiancés, shortly after the mishap at Jusenkyo, our poor hero finds himself engaged to marry the spirited Akane Tendo--an arrangement made by their fathers. Neither are very thrilled about the idea, but it doesn't take a prophet to know that love is most certainly on the horizon... deny it though they will!As far as enjoyability, I personally give this show a solid 9.2. It cleverly written... and it's strangeness puts it right up my alley!!
