It happens about once a year, with varying degrees of pain involved, but it is virtually inevitable. Approximately once a year, I nick myself with the razor while shaving. One time, back in high school, I took a neat strip of skin off my ankle after changing the razor head. The recollection still makes me cringe... and I have a scar a full inch in length to assure that I never forget the stunning amount of pain that accompanied that particular incident.
For the most part, the nicks are unremarkable save the nice little sting felt as the shower water flows over them. Today's nick, however, by some unseen talent of mine, turned out to be razor burn combined with a neat line of ten pairs of more or less evenly space nicks. I still don't know how I managed it, but man-a-live did it sting! Fortunately, it's high enough up on my thigh that I can still wear shorts should I elect to do so. I'm telling ya, though... the pain we women go through!
Well, it was bound to happen sooner or later, I suppose--it always does--but did you know what? I could have done with something a little less painfully artistic....

That is why I've just given up, for now, on shaving. At best I'll slather my legs with Veet or Nair once every six months or more. But hten I'm old and not looking to have anyone look at my legs. ^_~
See that right there is why i avoid shaving my legs, at all costs. I hate nicks, cause mine are always quite artistic looking.
