On Saturday, I went with a few friends to the Greek festival in town. There was a lot of food and a bunch of drunk people dancing. It was a way to pass some time though. While there, I purchased these two items:
The keychain portrays some unknown person. I surmise it's probably a saint or someone of that caliber, while the shopkeeper thought that it might be the Good Samaritan. Either way, the keychain should prove lucky because of the cross and the blue bead. As for the necklace... it was love at first sight. It is so pretty. Honest, the pictures do it absolutely no justice whatsoever. It's a very nice necklace--and the last one they had like it.
In other news, my friend and her boyfriend claim that they're going to set me up with one of his friends. I looked at the guy's MySpace. He seems nice. A bit of a geek, perhaps, but who am I to point fingers? Oh, and there's also the fact that he's into athletic girls with long dark or blond hair. I decided to take it as a challenge. So maybe I don't know anything about sports and I'm not anyone's definition of athletic. I'm willing to learn how to understand a damned football game and whatever else. Besides, I'm not about to take rejection from someone who hasn't even met (and possibly never heard) of me yet lying down. No, siree-Bob! Not gonna happen. Furthermore... he's kinda cute, so I'm sure as hell not gonna give up before meeting him.
Not much else going on. School started back in August 25th, so that's been keeping me busier. That's about it, actually.
In any case, I'll try to keep ya'll posted on any progress (or lack of progress) on the Geek Front.
Later.
